Beware of Six Star Coaching Scam
Sixstar is a scam. You take a 10 minute recruiting video where they offer you to pay for their training to be certified as a life coach to coach their clients that they provide for you. They say they are a huge international company that need more life coaches because they can’t fill the demand of clients needing coaching fast enough.
They say that all you need to do is provide them with your availability and you can start making money. There are no clients ready and available to pay for coaching. You have to sign up leads for their coaching packages. You also unknowingly sign to terms and conditions that you are unaware of when you purchase the course.
Sixstar is a huge scam and I too fell prey to their lies. Once our class discovered their lies (sadly the day after our final exam), the lies and deception became so obvious. You couldn’t get a straight answer from Sixstar and they just turned our questions around on us. Many people in our class never even got replies back to their emails and questions.
Do not fall for for this opportunity. They tell you they will provide you work because the demand is so great and you can “work as much as you want” but they don’t tell you much else. We found out that they provide leads that you have to sell packages to. The training doesn’t even cover how to work their leads (which was never even mentioned in the first place), in fact, some of the course content came straight out of Google, word for word.
I went into this believing I was getting some work at the end of the class to help me gain experience in Life Coaching while earning up to $120/hour (this is what they advertised at the time), and this is what I was told. Once I questioned them about all of this, they tried saying the didn’t say certain things when I had proof both in email form and screenshots I made from their site and ads at the time, which they’ve clearly changed.
Sixstar Life Coaching is a SCAM. Don’t sign up or give them a dime.
The company adverstise receiving your life coaching certificate and after passing providing paying clients to their coaches. Once completing the course and receiving my certificate the company sent leads and not paying clients and these leads were not interested in the service. None of this was discussed prior to me purchasing the course, as the company made it clear that I would be receiving paying clients right after completing the course.
They promised me a job if I take the course I paid 1089 American $ for a course they advertise only for 175$ Plus I never got the job they promised instead they kept sending me emails lead disregarding the agreement that they will refer real customers to me after being certified. I am realizing now it was a scam and I want a refund for the course fees that I overpaid.
Misleading and false claims about work provided, coaching earning of up to $120/hr is false, providing potential clients is misleading as they only provide cold leads, terms are hidden and contradict advertising, misleading testimonies as no one in my class has had any paying clients provided by them. You sign up for hidden terms when you purchase the course that are not clearly disclosed anywhere during purchase.
They will not give me back the money I paid. I never received my certificate, they lied about how we get clients (and thereby pay) and their accreditation means ZERO in the "real world".... I do not even ascribe to their techniques. I have been in business for over 20 years and the way they are handling my request is unprofessional, and unreasonable!

Thank you so much for posting this as I was looking at signing up with their new name 6s coaching! Really appreciate your honest post. I hope you have found a good course and work now?
ReplyDeleteGood course, but once I finished, I had to pay accreditation fee, and then insurance. Which cost about $400 CA.
ReplyDeleteThey assign you to someone on skype, no introduction or explanation. This person sends you a name, phone number, and or email. When you call the potential client, they have no idea what I am talking about, nor are they interested in talking to you. Here's an example, when I started of their first message:
Let me explain to you how it'll work
we will be sending you the lead's info and you should contact them - phone/email and try to set up a video call with them but phone conversation is also ok ( they signed up for a free intro session with a sixtstar coach)
You should offer them to purchase a monthly plan on our website

This is my last message, I was quite frustrated because no one would talk to me, out right refuse free coaching.
Hello??
Any more leads that actually want Life coaching help?? lol
Good course, taught by David N.
But please don't fall for the job contract after finishing course, as it is a total scam
I thought the course itself was great, as was David N. However, after finishing and looking at the agreement, I was skeptical about signing. So I didn't. I am a social media manager and marketer, and figured I could run my own ads when the time was right. I stayed in contact with many of the people from my course, and not one person was telling me about good leads, only the same as above, bad cold leads. Happy I did not sign the agreement. Happy I am life coach certified though. For that cost though, yikes! Could have taken a course for cheeper elsewhere.
DeleteHow could you think David was so good? Ya he had a few good points but was it not extremely offensive to keep hearing him talk about “high end women”?
DeleteThis organization is 100% fraud!!! There is no doubt in my mind, and even more so reading from others that took it with me. Either way, what’s done is done but I don’t want others to fall for it.
Yes, I may have actually been in the same class as writer of this blog. This course was to give us global accreditation, for an additional amount of money. I never got as much as a fake certificate. I did get an email from the most unprofessional “trainer” that said I graduated though. The whole experience was just so odd. In some senses it was like the guy new his stuff but then would say things like “ if you want to date a high end girl”, and that was a comment he often used. What the heck is a high end girl anyway? So yes, by the time I was half done this apparent program I already realized this was BS but by that time I was already out several hundred dollars and thought I would finish it. Oddly they didn’t even contact me for none payment of the remaining $450 but also didn’t send a certificate of any kind. Sadly, my money is gone and I won’t ever see anything out of it but I do hope people continue to post about this organization so others find reviews. I did try to research these buggers but found hardly anything aside from it was a new company. Don’t do it people!! Definitely a SCAM
ReplyDeleteNow known as 6s Coaching (6scoaching.com) and is a MASSIVE SCAM for existing coaches in particular.
ReplyDeleteWhen Covid-19 hit, I lost out on 2 contracts and had some time on my hands. I saw their advert on LinkedIn and thought I'd see what they are about.
They sold me a whole load of rubbish about how amazing their marketing was, and how they would be getting me 10 clients a week no problem.
BUT, and here's the thing - I had to enrol on the course to make sure I followed their model.
Ok - so I thought I'd give it a go. Partly because I was curious, and mostly because I wanted the income.
What followed was the most basic of coaching courses, for people who have LITERALLY no idea about what coaching is.
They told me it would be 24 people, and there were more than 50.
They told me I'd only need to complete 6 weeks before getting on their platform.
6 weeks in, they never replied to a single email, and their phone number is a dud.
I filed a formal complaint with my bank, the citizen's bureau and the ICF, as well as a number of other coaching associations and job boards.
I managed to get my money back, and let them know, AND THEN SUDDENLY they decided to email me back with quite frankly the most ridiculous email I've ever read in my life.
(I would be happy to share the email exchanged with anyone who is interested.)
This is an outfit that makes money off a bogus coaching course, with no true credentials, and is not recognised by anyone relevant in the industry.
If you want a basic coaching course, look online for proper outfits, and save yourself the hassle.
If you want coaching clients, go the old school route and find them yourself.
As they say, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.
I think their operating again under another name Coacheroes - same set up a course which you have to pay for and then promised work - i may be wrong but both companies have the same style website - same set up for training - promised work that probably doesnt manifest. Both companies claim to be based in israel
DeleteHey m0e, anyway you can reach out to me. I am curious about the email they sent you, I believe I've been taken by their 'coacheroes' program, sadly. Sounds very much the same. Any tips for trying to get money back?
DeleteAs of Nov 30, 2020: Coacheroes is the new name they are going under. Sixstar coaching 165 Broadway New York, NY 10006-1404 USA was listed on one of their emails sent to me. Just listen to the recruiter do the exact same spill as mentioned above. Sounded fishy so googled and found this blog and BBB Sixstar Mentoring & Coaching with same complaints as above. Legit SCAM.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for letting us know this is a scam! I saw their advertisement on Facebook and thought I would give it a try so I scheduled to have an interview with them on Thursday, however, someone called me on Wednesday and did the interview over the phone and after talking with me for some time they told me that I was hired and that all I had to do was pay for the course and I was assured employment once I finished their course. I told them that I could afford to take the class and they even arranged to let me pay 199 per month for 6 months and then pay the rest once I started working them after the course. At first this sounded like a good thing to do but something seemed off like how she was able to quickly get in contact with someone to get me a price reduction even though it sounded like she was working from home alone. In addition to this I was a little suspect as to why they just interviewed me over the phone instead of keeping the scheduled interview with me over skype or zoom. Anyway I was in my call during the phone call but once I got home I decided to do some research before I committed to paying for the courses and I am glad I did. At first glance it seems like a great company because when you google it only glowing reviews come up but once you get past the first page of comments and dig a little deeper you find out that their website does not have a long history and has just recently been set up. And then I clicked over a few more pages and I found this blog. So, glad I saw this before I decided to spend money on this scam. Thank you so much for letting people know that this is a scam I truly appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Thank you
ReplyDeleteI think everyone in the 2019 class was disheartened including David. If anyone knows if we can sue them via class action I’m interested. I’m pretty sure the owner is a known scammer.
ReplyDeleteHi, I also did the course in 2019 and I did receive my certificate. The contract looked sketchy to me so I never signed it. Just didn't have a good feeling about it. Because the employment with them didn't pan out I would like to start something on my own but I don't know how or where to start to do this. Can anyone help ?
